Russian House (Russian Centre of Science and Culture) in Thiruvananthapuram is a cultural hub in the city which contributes greatly to strengthening cultural ties between India and Russia. The Centre, which started in 1975, is functioning under the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo. The Russian House believes that Tourism is an integral part of People's Diplomacy since it provides great opportunities to get acquainted with the culture and tradition.

The Indo-Russian Tourism Forum is a platform to promote tourism-related activities between Russia and India.

In 2008, the Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation was opened in Thiruvananthapuram. One of the main functions of the Honorary Consulate is the promotion of trade between Russia and India.
