November 29, 30 and December 01, 2022

The idea is to create a platform for B-TO-B discussions for the sellers in Russia (hotel/ resort owners and Tour operators who promote inbound tourism to Russia) and buyers (tour operators in India who promote outbound tourism to Russia). The Travel and Tourism Fair also creates a platform for the Indian Sellers (Resorts and Hotels in India) to meet future business partners/ tour operators who send Russian tourists to India.

There will be stalls of different sizes, and the hotels and your operators can display their products by exhibiting posters and screening videos. Discussions can be arranged at the stalls. If any city or Oblast administration in Russia wants to highlight their tourism, they can conduct special presentations and seminars. We can select one city or oblast that can bring a cultural group or delegation to get more media attention. The first day will be the inauguration. The second day is exclusively for the travel and tourism industry (B TO B), and the third day for the public.

The Russian tour operators who promote Kerala tourism will be offered FAM TOURS. They will stay at different resorts free of cost to familiarise themselves with the properties. We plan to invite a minimum of ten regions and twenty tour operators from Russia this year. Also, there will be the presence of hotels and tour operators from India, especially Kerala. The sellers like regions, resorts and Hotels in Russia and India can display their marketing materials at the stalls they take for rent at the venue. They can discuss the business opportunities with the buyers from Russia and India. There will be table space available for the buyers (tour operators).

Due to the crisis in Europe, Russia tourists stopped travelling to the western countries. So, India can expect a substantial increase in the inbound tourist flow from Russia.

Kerala can become a suitable substitute destination for the Russian tourists who had wished to visit Sri Lanka, especially for Ayurveda.

More than 50% of Russians depend on internet and social media to select their travel destinations. But today, many social media and online booking platforms are not available in Russia. So an exclusive travel fair is needed to promote Kerala in Russia.

The year 2022 is significant because we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of India's Independence and establishing diplomatic ties between Russia and India. Exactly 550 years back, the first Russian visitor to India, Afanasy Nikitin, reached Kerala.
